Qualifications

• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Certifications must be AHA-issued and not expire prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

• Med Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting.
• Full-time night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week.
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while performing health teaching and counseling.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and abide by service behavior standards.
• Permanent staff must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment.
