American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Telemetry for an 8-week contract in Chicago, IL. The role requires 2+ years of MS/TEL experience and prior travel assignment history.

Responsibilities include telemetry nursing care in a hospital unit with 12-hour day shifts at 07:00, 36 hours weekly, every other weekend, and no on-call. EPIC EMR experience preferred; active IL RN license with BLS/ACLS and NIHSS required.

Qualifications

• IL RN license active and in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• 2+ years MS/TEL experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Must have prior travel assignment experience.
• New graduates not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry nursing care in a hospital unit.
• 12-hour day shifts starting at 07:00; 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend; holiday coverage as needed.
• First to float to other MS/TEL units.
• No on-call requirements.
• First shift includes 6 hours of non-billable orientation.
• Returning staff must be separated for 12 months before returning as travel RN.
• RTO for 8-week contract limited to 3 days.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience.

• 2 current references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge in the relevant care area within the last year required, travel reference preferred

• First shift includes 6 hours of non-billable unit orientation
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being eligible to return as a travel RN
• RTO for this 8-week contract is limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
