Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Surgical ICU duties at a Level II Trauma Center in the Baltimore area. Requires 2 years SICU experience and an active MD or Compact RN license, with BLS/ACLS certificates. Epic EMR experience is essential, and travel experience is preferred.

The role includes night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with a 6-week schedule that includes 3 weekends on, and potential floating to other ICUs/IMCs as needed. Housing and licensure support may be provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current Surgical ICU experience required
• At least 2 previous travel assignments required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center required
• Critical Care Certification and trauma course preferred

Responsibilities

• Cares for ICU and post-surgical patients including trauma, vascular, GI, ortho/neuro spine, general surgery, transplant, and oncology cases
• Night shift 12-hour schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend commitment of 3 out of every 6 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Floating required to areas of like skill set, including other ICUs and IMCs
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide critical care nursing to a diverse surgical ICU patient population
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
