• Assess patient needs and signs of physiologic and psychosocial changes.
• Apply nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Document plan of care with diagnoses, outcomes, and interventions.
• Initiate and evaluate patient and family education.
• Revise care plans as medical conditions change.
