Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a hospital assignment in Wheeling, West Virginia. The RN will work in the Intermediate Care Unit with 12-hour shifts, on a travel contract lasting 13 weeks, totaling 36 hours per week.

The role requires strong stepdown and telemetry skills, performing drips titration, and collaborating with hospital staff around the clock. This is a payer-agnostic travel opportunity designed to support urgent workforce needs.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in West Virginia or compact state.
• Specialty in Stepdown required or preferred.
• Travel assignment with 13-week duration.
• Schedule is 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in IMU with 1:4 ratio; may run 1:5 or 1:6.
• Read tele monitor strips using Nihon Kohden system.
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, Lasix occasionally.
• Manage respiratory equipment such as AirVo high flow and Respironics Bipap.
• Collaborate with hospitalist/intensivist 24/7 and assist IV team with starts.
• Float to Tele or MedSurg as needed with ratios up to 1:6 or 1:7.
• Adhere to unit protocols and participate in orientation and training.
