Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Bridgeport, West Virginia. The RN will provide inpatient care on a hospital stepdown unit and monitor telemetry, with 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week.

The contract is 13 weeks, with travel-related responsibilities and a commitment to patient care excellence. Eligible candidates should hold an active RN license and have stepdown/IMU experience to support high-acuity patients on a dynamic unit.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in WV or ability to transfer
• Experience in stepdown/IMU units preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to travel assignments

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care in a hospital setting with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 on IMU/stepdown units
• Manage care for step-down patients with conditions like POST MI with sheath, ADHS, POSTOP VASCULAR, GI bleed, DKA
• Titrate drip medications (Nitroglycerin up to 150 mcg/kg/min, Neo up to 100 mcg/min, Cardene up to 10 mg/hr) as required
• Read ECG strips and monitor telemetry to identify patient changes
• Collaborate with charge nurses and supervisors to ensure safe unit operation and patient care
