VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a 13-week hospital contract in Wheeling, West Virginia. The role requires 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts and an ASAP start. This travel assignment offers a hospital setting and a dynamic team environment.

The RN will provide direct patient care in an intermediate care unit, read monitors, titrate drips, and manage respiratory equipment while collaborating with Hospitalists, Intensivists, and RTs on a 24/7 staffing model.

Qualifications

• RN license required with Stepdown specialty.
• ASAP start date for a 13-week contract.
• 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts.
• Travel assignment in a hospital setting (Wheeling, WV).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care unit within a hospital setting.
• Read and interpret tele monitors and strips independently.
• Titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix.
• Manage respiratory equipment including high flow and Bipap devices.
• Collaborate with Hospitalists, Intensivists, and RTs in a 24/7 in-house staffing model.
• Support patient diagnosis and management of conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, post-pacer, pre/post Caths, and overflow patients requiring intermediate care.
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific protocols and safety standards.
• Assist in patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
