Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Step-Down position in New Jersey. The role requires at least 1 year of intermediate care/step-down nursing and an active NJ or compact license.

You will work PM shifts, 36 hours weekly over three 12-hour shifts, with every third weekend and one summer holiday coverage. You may float to a nearby sister hospital; Epic is used for charting, and PRIDE values guide daily practice.

Qualifications

Active RN license (NJ or Compact) required.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Minimum of 1 year of Intermediate Care/Step-Down nursing experience required.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Strong communication and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

Medical Step-Down unit within a hospital setting.
PM shift, 7p-7a, 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts.
Required to work every third weekend.
One summer holiday coverage required.
Floating as needed, including to a nearby sister hospital.
No on-call responsibilities.
Uses Epic for charting.
Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Collaborate with the healthcare team through a Shared Governance model to promote evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Demonstrate the organization's PRIDE core values (Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence) in daily practice.

Travelers may stay on assignment up to one year from their initial start date before requiring a break prior to a new assignment
