Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Step-Down unit in Georgia. The role requires at least 2 years of related specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.

You will care for intermediate medical patients, including high-risk respiratory and postoperative populations, with 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p) and no on-call requirements. Eligible travelers may receive housing allowances and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic Intermediate Care (Step-Down) unit
• Care for intermediate medical patients, including high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery populations
• Patients may require respiratory support ranging from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow
• 12-hour day shifts with schedule varying between 7a-7p
• No on-call requirements
• Provide nursing care to a diverse population of intermediate and step-down level patients
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Previous staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break since their last employment with the facility
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested after
