Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN to join a Progressive Care Unit on the 4th floor, a 22-bed unit handling adult cardiac observation, post-cath patients, and cardioversion cases. The role requires 2 years of step-down/ICU experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Candidates must have ADN, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Shift is PM, with every other weekend, floating, and no on-call. Travel-rate eligibility applies for those outside the local area.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Step-down or ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care (cardiac step-down) unit on the 4th floor, 22 beds.
• Patient population includes adult cardiac observation, post cardiac catheterization lab patients, and cardioversion cases.
• Patient ratio of 4:1.
• Uses telemetry equipment and Paragon EHR.
• PM shift schedule.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide cardiac step-down nursing care including monitoring post cardiac cath patients and performing cardioversions.
• Team-oriented environment requiring strong communication skills and flexibility.
