Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN to join a Stepdown unit. MO or Compact licensure is required, with BLS/ACLS certifications and 1–2 years in stepdown nursing.

The role includes night shifts, 1:3 patient ratios, and on-call weekends, with Epic charting and potential charge nurse duties. Travel-friendly position; first-time travelers welcome. Responsibilities include float rotations to related units and caring for isolation patients, including COVID-19 cases.

Qualifications

1–2 years of recent stepdown nursing experience required.
Experience with drips: Cardizem, Amio, Heparin, Dobutamine.
Comfort caring for isolation patients including COVID-19 cases.

Responsibilities

Stepdown unit in a short-term acute care hospital.
1:3 patient ratios.
Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12 hours.
On-call every 3rd weekend.
Float to med tele, med surg, rehab as needed.
Use Epic for charting.
May serve as charge nurse when needed.
Must handle isolation cases including COVID-19.
