Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. The role involves care for patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with emphasis on telemetry monitoring and cardiac-focused nursing interventions.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Georgia, with current BLS and ACLS certifications. Two preferred certifications, PCCN and NIHSS, are advantageous for advancement within the team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Active Georgia RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Preferred PCCN and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms; respond to abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and assessments; communicate status to supervisor/physician.
