Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 12-hour day shift assignment in California. Active CA RN license and teaching hospital experience are required.

Position includes a 1:5 patient ratio, Epic charting, and the ability to float to UCSF facilities within 75 miles. Travel housing allowances and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission.
• BSN required.
• AHA BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehab experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history.
• Acute rehab and neuro/stroke unit experience preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration.
• Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or proof of scheduled booster appointment prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehab unit setting.
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, on a 12/7 schedule.
• 1:5 patient ratio.
• Epic charting system experience required.
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius if job specifications are satisfied.
• Provide direct care to acute inpatient rehab patients, including those with neurological, cardiac, orthopedic, and respiratory conditions.
• Perform skills such as wound care, tracheostomy care, IV therapy, feeding tube management, and stroke scale assessments.
• Complete non-billable training modules during pre-start and annually via the UC Learning website.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers.
• Candidates with prior employment at any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must disclose employment dates, units worked, and manager names for a rehire eligibility check.
• All requested RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract.
• RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment start date.
