Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a weekend night shift in Illinois. Active IL RN license and prior rehab or med-surg nursing experience are required. Stroke certification is preferred but not required.

The role features a night schedule from 7 pm to 7 am with weekend rotations and potential Sunday shifts, offering housing allowances and travel/licensure reimbursements as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Stroke certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a hospital setting
• Performs similar duties to a medical-surgical floor, excluding heparin drip administration
• High neuro patient population with frequent stroke recovery cases
• Night shift schedule, 7 pm to 7 am
• Weekend rotation of every third weekend, covering Friday and Saturday nights
• Some flexibility available for Sunday shifts if needed
• Assess patients' mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education and instructions
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition using clinical judgment
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Participate in continuing education opportunities
• Contribute to a positive team environment through professional communication
