American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN for an Inpatient Rehab unit in Illinois. The role requires an IL RN license and prior travel nursing experience. It features a day shift (3x12-hour) from 6:15am to 6:45pm with a 13-week assignment and a patient ratio of 1:7.

Requirements include BLS, rehab/LTAC or inpatient Med/Surg experience, and travel nursing background. Screening may be required; housing allowances and travel reimbursements are provided.

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required, Rehab/LTAC experience accepted and Inpatient Med/Surg experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skills required include non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with rapid response/code team protocols required
• Nasal cannula and respiratory care experience required

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Rehab unit setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:15am to 6:45pm
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide direct nursing care within an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Participate in non-billable orientation modules lasting 2-3 hours
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no time off requested during the first or last week of the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former University of Chicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must be open to screening if a first-time traveler with at least 2 years of experience
