Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit in Iowa. Requires at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active IA or Compact RN license. Night shift 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, every other weekend. Travel experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IA or Compact required
• Current BLS certification required
• 1-2+ years RN experience required
• At least 1 year Acute care experience required
• MedSurg or LTAC experience accepted
• Must pass Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• Must pass 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Titers within last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation unit with 13 beds
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Diagnoses include neuro, trauma, burn cases with gait training/strengthening and wound vac management
• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 6 patients
• Uses lift equipment and Meditech EHR
• Night shift 6:45 PM–7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating to MedSurg as needed
• Provide direct patient care within an inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Support patients recovering from neuro, trauma, and burn conditions
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• First-time travelers welcome to apply
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from facility for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
• Start dates: Monday or Tuesday accepted
