Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Skilled Nursing RN for an inpatient rehab unit in a short-term SNF/LTC setting. You will care for patients with fractures, joint replacements, wounds, and weakness on day shifts (3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and may float as needed.

Candidate must hold an active VA or compact RN license, have BLS, and at least one year of nursing experience. Navy blue scrubs and a 50-mile radius rule apply to eligibility. Travelers welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of nursing experience required.
• Teaching hospital experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Short-term skilled nursing facility (SNF/LTC) setting within an inpatient rehab unit.
• Patient population includes fractures, joint replacements, wound care, and weakness, with an average length of stay of 14 days.
• Average daily census of 12 with 12 rooms and 17 beds.
• Patient ratio of 1:12.
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Works every other weekend.
• Floating required.
• Provide skilled nursing care to rehab patients with diagnoses including fractures, joint replacements, and wounds.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted.
• Candidates who previously worked a permanent position at the facility within the past 24 months will not be considered.
• RTO is limited based on holidays falling within the assignment; expect to work one holiday if two fall within the assignment, and two if three fall within the assignment.
• Fit testing is required, and candidates must be clean-shaven unless an approved medical exemption is obtained prior to starting.
• Zero-tolerance policy for THC, including medical marijuana cards.
• Drug screening required during compliance and again on day one onsite.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
