Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care and comprehensive clinical documentation each shift.
- Communicates patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding.
- Participates in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality/performance improvement initiatives.
- May serve as preceptor for new nurses and collaborate with nursing students and instructors.
- Delegates aspects of care and collaborates in planning, supervising, and instructing other nursing personnel.
