Job summary
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MO or compact RN license and 2+ years of acute care experience.
Night shift, 3x12hr, Nights, 36 hrs/wk, Sep 21, 2026 start. Openings: 1. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Epic charting preferred. MO licensure required.
Qualifications
- Active MO or compact RN license required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg Tele nursing experience.
- Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy.
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias; CVA/stroke care.
- Two professional references; PDFs of driver's license and SSN.
Responsibilities
- Care for adult and geriatric patients on Med/Surg Tele unit.
- Provide post-procedure care for pacemaker and cardiac catheterization patients.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to rapid code activations.
- Administer IV therapies and manage hemodynamics.
- Maintain accurate charting and collaborate with the care team.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MO or compact RN license and 2+ years of acute care experience.
- Cares for adult and geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, infection, cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, pneumonia, stroke, TIA, seizures, and UTI
- Provides post-procedure care for pacemaker and cardiac catheterization patients
- Manages patients requiring thoracentesis, chest tubes, cardiac drips, heparin drips, and peritoneal dialysis
- Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Epic charting system preferred
- Active MO or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
- Experience with IV therapy and phlebotomy required
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias required
- Experience with CVA/stroke patient care required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Provides bedside nursing care on a busy telemetry unit with a variety of post-cardiac and post-neurological procedures
- Utilizes cardiac monitoring skills and participates in rapid response/code team activations as needed
- Preferred experience includes central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and port access/management
- Preferred experience with respiratory care including chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and oxygen administration
- Preferred experience with renal care including continuous bladder irrigation and pre/post hemodialysis management
- Preferred experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
- Preferred experience managing cardiac drips, heparin protocols, and PCA medications
- First-time travelers not specified as accepted or excluded
