Responsibilities

• Inpatient Behavioral Health unit serving adult, pediatric (5-17), and geriatric populations across beds.
• Two adult units with 24 beds each, 24 geriatric beds, and 12 pediatric beds.
• Variable patient ratios; uses Cerner EMR.
• Night shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; every other weekend.
• Floating required; 13-week assignment.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care: assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation.
• Develop nursing care plans with patients, families, and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and supervisors.
• Participate in discharge planning; treat schizophrenia, depression, bipolar, substance use, anxiety.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting required
• Graduate of an accredited BSN, ADN, or nursing diploma program
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Behavioral Health unit serving adult, pediatric (5-17), and geriatric populations across 104 beds in five units
• Two adult units with 24 beds each, 24 geriatric beds, and 12 pediatric beds
• Variable patient ratios of 1:8, with lower ratios for geriatric and pediatric units
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Floating required
• 13-week assignment
• Provide direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians, nursing supervisors, and co-workers
• Participate in discharge planning process
• Treat common diagnoses including schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety
• Must be willing to work with both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Blue scrubs required
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Biweekly orientation held on Tuesdays
