• Graduate of an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Minimum one year of inpatient psychiatric experience.
• Experience treating schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder and anxiety.
• Willingness to care for adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient Behavioral Health unit serving adult, pediatric (5-17), and geriatric populations across 104 beds.
• Two adult units with 24 beds each, 24 geriatric beds, and 12 pediatric beds.
• Patient ratios average 1:8, with lower ratios on geriatric and pediatric units.
• Uses Cerner EHR to document care and coordinate with the team.
• Evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
• Every other weekend required; floating between units as needed.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans with patients, families, and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and supervisors.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
• Blue scrub color is required.
• Residence distance: traveler must be 60 miles or more from the facility.
• No permanent LifePoint staff in the past 12 months; cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.

• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignment
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
