Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for a Geriatric Psych unit in Ohio. An active OH or compact RN license and prior behavioral health experience in a non-psychiatric acute care setting are required.

The role involves day shifts (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM), milieu management, medication administration, patient assessments and documentation within a hospital setting. A current BLS certification, vaccines, and a professional reference are required.

Qualifications

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Minimum 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital (non-psychiatric facility).
• One professional reference from a manager/supervisor in the last 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccine with medical/religious exemptions allowed only.
• Flu vaccine with medical/religious exemptions allowed only.

Responsibilities

• Provide care on a Behavioral Health unit within a hospital.
• Care for geriatric psychiatric patients.
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• Milieu management, medication administration, patient assessments and documentation.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation with up to two attempts.
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement.
• Expected to work every other holiday.
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate.
• Permanent candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from prior end date.

• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Expected to work every other holiday
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• RTO must be discussed during the interview process
