Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for an Adolescent Mood Disorders Unit in Maryland. The role requires 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience and a valid MD or compact RN license, with prior charge nurse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Night shift on the Adolescent Mood Disorders Unit, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:30).
• Every other weekend required; no on-call requirements.
• Floating to any age population when scheduling needs arise; patient ratio 1:4.
• Charting in Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR; may act as charge RN during shifts.
• Navy blue scrubs; parking on campus; travelers welcome; local candidates accepted.

• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Charting performed in Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR
• May be required to work as charge RN during shifts without additional charge pay
• Navy blue scrubs required

• One pre-approved RTO request allowed
• Facility maintains a strict no-tolerance policy for marijuana, including medical marijuana cards, due to support of addictions treatment programs
• All candidates must pass drug screening on the first attempt to proceed with onboarding
• Former permanent employees must wait one full year before applying for a travel position
• Candidates who apply for a permanent position will be removed from consideration and must wait one year before reapplying as a traveler
• Orientation modules are completed during orientation and annually via the Relias/Net Learning portal
