Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN for night shifts in a hospital setting. The role requires level 1 experience, BLS and PALS certifications, and at least 1 year of RN experience, with an ADN (BSN preferred).

You will work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours), in a unit that cares for critically ill pediatric patients, including potential CVICU/NICU exposure and Level 1 trauma duties. Travel and lodging support provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (OK or multistate compact eNLC) currently in hand.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only).
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Pediatric ICU unit of a hospital setting.
• CVICU and NICU experience preferred.
• Level 1 trauma experience required.
• Night shift schedule of 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly.
• Provide nursing care to a variety of pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient responses to nursing interventions and treatments.
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products as prescribed.
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed.
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.
• This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts.
• Travelers must be booked at least 4 weeks from time of offer to allow for compliance clearance.
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying.
