Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit role in Colorado. Requires 2 years PCU experience and a CO or compact RN license, along with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Epic charting experience is required; Navy blue scrubs and care across mixed acuity units are expected.

06-week roster emphasizes 12-hour shifts, rotating days, and potential night shifts; local candidates within the metro region may be eligible for local rate consideration.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of solid PCU experience.
• Epic charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for a mixed acuity progressive care unit patient population.
• Work in a 12-bed PCU and 10-bed high acuity unit with patient ratios of 1:3-4 to 1:4-5.
• Rotate through day and night shifts; 3x12s; weekends as needed.
• Floating within scope to similar units and potentially sister facilities.
• Supportive, collaborative team environment emphasizing communication and teamwork.
• Provide nursing care across medical-surgical and PCU populations; rotate to med-surg as needed.
• Comply with facility policies; disclose prior affiliation with the health system if applicable.
• Completion of unit-specific training in first week.
