Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Weatherford, TX. The nurse will provide care for patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with emphasis on telemetry monitoring and cardiac care.

The role requires 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, and current BLS/ACLS; PCCN/NIHSS are preferred. Excellent compensation, benefits, and a supportive clinical team are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification (preferred).
• NIHSS Certification (preferred).
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; detects abnormalities and responds.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assists with cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Records notable observations and notifies clinicians as needed.
• Responds to life-threatening emergencies following cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adheres to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.
