Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a night shift position in Irving, Texas. The assignment features 36 hours per week across 12-hour nights for 13 weeks, with travel benefits and comprehensive credentialing support.

The PCU/Step-down RN must hold an active RN license, have a nursing degree from an accredited program, and possess BLS and ACLS certifications along with 18 months of acute care PCU/step-down experience. Client facilities may add further requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Nurses monitor cardiac and other vital signs and intervene in life-threatening or emergency situations.
• Monitor and assess patients who aren’t unstable enough to need ICU care using computer equipment to track vitals and detect changes.
