Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Denton, TX. You’ll work 12-hour night shifts in the PCU, delivering cardiac-focused care to patients moving from ICU to general units, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, a current RN license, BLS and ACLS. This position offers competitive pay, day-one benefits, and comprehensive support for travel assignments.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists with cardiac procedures.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and assessments; communicates status to team.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Coordinates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adheres to safety and infection control guidelines.
