Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Arlington, Texas. The traveler will work nights, 36 hours per week, in the Progressive Care Unit, providing specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units.

Required: 1 year Stepdown RN experience, TX RN license, BLS and ACLS; PCCN and NIHSS are preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included, with support from a dedicated clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification and NIHSS Certification, others may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data and responds to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists with cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Observes and documents patient conditions and notifies physicians as needed.
• Responds to life-saving situations per hospital protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety standards.
