Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Saint Louis, MO. The role requires one year of stepdown RN experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certs.

You’ll work 12-hour nights, with 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced telemetry environment. As a Stepdown RN, you’ll monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and cardiac rhythms, reporting abnormalities.
• Administers medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists with cardiac-related procedures and exams.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Observes and documents patient status, communicating changes to the physician.
• Responds to life-threatening situations per hospital protocols.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control standards.
