Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week contract in Charleston, West Virginia. This step-down RN role is hospital-based with 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00) and a 36-hour workweek.

Candidates must have WV or Compact RN license, 2 years RN experience including 1 year in specialty, BLS, ACLS, fit test, CPI, and be willing to travel up to 100 miles for a fit test. Flu vaccination proof preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• WV/Compact RN license required.
• 2 years RN experience; 1 year in specialty.
• BLS, ACLS, Fit Test; CPI (Travelers can do CPI with Qualivis).
• TNCC preferred; 2 years work history; licensure verification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nursing care to trauma and surgical patients in the step-down unit.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and manage vents and telemetry equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float within scope to meet the facility’s needs, including possible coverage for floor beds only.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including CPR and conscious sedation procedures.
