Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 20-week assignment in Camden, NJ. The Stepdown RN will provide care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with telemetry monitoring and cardiac-focused interventions. Travel status, 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts, ASAP start.

Qualifications include 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, NJ RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Preferred PCCN and NIHSS certifications may be considered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists during cardiac-related procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
• Observes patient status, records significant conditions, and notifies supervisor or physician of changes
• Responds to life-threatening situations per cardiac protocols and standards
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality
• Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
