Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Burlington, NC. You will provide care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with continuous monitoring and specialized nursing interventions.

The role requires one year of Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification. PCCN/NIHSS are preferred; benefits include competitive pay and full travel support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification (preferred).
• NIHSS Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect issues.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patients, documents conditions, and notifies supervisor of status.
• Responds to life-saving situations following cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and clients.
