Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in High Point, North Carolina.

The PCU RN will provide bedside care, monitor cardiac patients, administer medications, perform IV starts, and manage monitoring equipment in a 13-week assignment with 36 hours/week on 12-hour day shifts. 1-2 years acute care experience required; BLS/ACLS required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective actions when monitoring shows adverse signs.
