Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Kansas City, MO. This role focuses on monitoring cardiac patients, administering care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team on a 12-hour night shift.
The ideal candidate has 1 year of Stepdown experience, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and preferably PCCN and NIHSS credentials. Travel positions include competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
- Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification preferred
- NIHSS Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitors and interprets patient telemetry, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
- Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
- Maintains safety, comfort, and monitoring of telemetry patients.
- Documents patient status and notifies physicians of changes in condition.
- Responds to life-threatening events following unit protocols and standards.
