Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. The assignment runs for 15 weeks with 48 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

The RN will care for Step Down patients requiring close monitoring, including cardiac and vascular diagnoses, postoperative care, and related procedures. This role requires a valid RN license, 2+ years of relevant experience, and certifications such as BLS/ACLS/NIHSS.

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years in intermediate/cardiac patient populations
• Experience with titratable IV meds (amiodarone, nitro, nicardipine, epinephrine)
• Must float to compatible units and read telemonitor strips

Responsibilities

• Provide step-down unit nursing care in a hospital setting
• Support patients with cardiac/vascular conditions and postoperative care
• Manage titratable IV medications and telemetry monitoring
• Float to units with similar or lower acuity as needed
