Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska. This Step Down unit requires an adaptable nurse to provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses.

The assignment features 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and onboarding with on-floor orientation during the first week. You will chart in the electronic health records and collaborate with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• NIHSS certification; minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Experience in step-down or telemetery units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for adult and geriatric patients in PCU with 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Titrate drips and monitor cardiac meds under physician supervision.
• Document patient assessments and care plans in EHR.
• Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional team.
