Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel RN for the PCU – Progressive Care Unit in Columbus, Ohio. This 16-week travel assignment features 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and competitive pay with industry-leading benefits.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer cardiac-focused care, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe transitions from ICU to medical-surgical units. Licensure and certifications required; travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data, responding to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
