Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a PCU RN travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Tucson, AZ. The RN will work 12-hour days, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit.

Ideal candidates have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and must hold BLS and ACLS certifications. This travel role includes duties such as patient monitoring, IV starts, medication administration, and rapid response to changes in condition.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Travel nurse assignment in PCU in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptomatology.
