Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tucson, Arizona. The PCU RN will care for patients who require close monitoring but are not unstable enough to need ICU care, typically on 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour work week.

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; additional certifications may be required.
• Ability to stand/walk long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret electronic monitoring displays; respond to changes.
