Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Tucson, AZ. Start date is 09/28/2026 for a 13‑week duration, with 36 hours per week and 12‑hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and hold BLS/ACLS; other certs may be required before starting. PCU nurses monitor patients closely and respond to changes in condition promptly.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required; additional certifications may be needed before starting.
• Travel RN with PCU specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret electronic displays for patient status.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data and patient condition.
