Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in Kentucky. The role requires an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification. ACLS certification and Annual Dysrhythmia Validation are required, along with ADN/ASN.

BSN is preferred. No prior experience is required, though nursing experience is welcome. Shifts are 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts (Thu-Sat 7p-7a).

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) providing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural anesthesia
• Monitor and manage patients immediately following anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort during initial recovery
• Third shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans based on the nursing process
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
