American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13‑week contract in Texas. Requires an active TX or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, no expirations within 30 days, at least 1 year PACU and Phase 1 recovery experience, Meditech EMR preferred.

The assignment features a 16-bed PACU on the hospital's first floor, 2:1 or 1:1 patient ratios, day shifts 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with weekend call. Generous housing allowance and travel reimbursements provided; navy blue scrubs required.

Qualifications

• Active Texas or compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start.
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU experience.
• Phase 1 recovery experience required.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.
• One professional reference required.

Responsabilités

• Work in the PACU/Recovery unit on the 1st floor of a hospital.
• 16-bed unit staffed by 12 nurses, primarily day shift.
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1.
• Uses IV pumps, arterial lines, BiPAPs, chest tubes, bladder scanners, and Doppler for pulse checks.
• Performs procedures including nerve blocks, lumbar punctures, and chest tube placement.
• Uses Meditech EMR.
• Monday-Friday schedule, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM shifts.
• Call requirements of 2-4 shifts per 4-week schedule, including weekend call.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to surgical patients.
• Team of experienced day and night shift nurses.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted.
• Looking for laid-back, team-oriented candidates skilled at multitasking.
