Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR travel assignment in Kentucky. The role requires 2 years of Level I trauma CVOR experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Day shifts run 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM over a 14-week assignment, with duties including circulating and/or scrub roles in cardiovascular cases. Benefits include health coverage from day one, a generous housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements, and non-taxed per diem.

Qualifications

• Active KY State or Compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years of Level I trauma center CVOR experience required.
• Experience with heart/lung transplant, ortho, and general surgery cases required.
• Neuro experience preferred.
• No license disciplinary actions or hits accepted.

Responsibilities

• CVOR unit in a hospital setting.
• Day shift, 5x8 hours (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM).
• 14-week assignment length.
• Float to main OR and may also float to an affiliate hospital nearby.
• Cases include heart/lung transplant, orthopedic, and general surgery.
• Perform circulating and/or scrub RN duties in cardiovascular surgical cases.
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration; requests made afterward will not be approved.
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from all UK-affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler.
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted for this position.
