American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Washington, requiring WA State or Compact RN licensure and extensive craniotomy and retina surgical experience. This hospital-based role features 4x10 hour shifts (40 hours), 0630-1700 days/evenings with a 30-minute meal break, on-call duties, and potential to float as a sitter; travel and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active WA State or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Surgical experience in craniotomy and retina procedures required
• Must adhere to facility policies and unit-specific standards of practice

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Requires experience with craniotomy and retina procedures
• 4x10 hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Day/Evening shift scheduled 0630-1700 with 30 minute meal break
• On-call responsibilities required
• Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation
• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Perform ongoing holistic patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
• Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff according to hospital policy
