Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic scrub experience for a teaching hospital setting in California. The ideal candidate holds a CA RN license, a BSN, and 3+ years of OR experience, including orthopedic scrubbing and airway management.

BLS/ACLS certifications are required, and travel nursing experience is preferred. The role includes day shifts (4x10s from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM) with the ability to float to UCSF facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR experience required
• Strong orthopedic and scrubbing experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Airway management and aseptic technique skills required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Operate OR unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• Ability to circulate and scrub, particularly in Ortho-Joints, Ortho, ENT, and Ophthalmology
• Experience needed in General, Endo/Lap, Gyn, Plastics, and Podiatry surgery
• Uses Epic EMR
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed
• Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate as travel
• Perform circulating and scrub duties across a variety of surgical specialties including Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Plastics, and General surgery
• May be reassigned to a different department, unit, or facility within a 75+ mile radius if qualified
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager before an offer is finalized
• No additional time off requests accepted once the contract begins
• Time off may not be scheduled within the first two weeks of the assignment
