Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week teaching hospital assignment in Minnesota. Requires active MN RN license, BLS, at least 1 year OR experience, and strong orthopedic specialty skills.

Travel nursing experience and willingness to float within the hospital are a plus. You will scrub and assist across multiple specialties using Epic/Excellian; shifts include day or evening, with weekend and occasional on-call.

Qualifications

• Active or pending MN RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent OR experience required.
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Experience in specialties such as vascular, gynecology, plastics, general OR, trauma, podiatry, orthopedic, cardiovascular, general surgery, urology, robotics, bariatrics, and neurology preferred.
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration.
• Date of birth, SSN, and RTO information required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit in an acute care teaching hospital with Level 3 trauma designation.
• Day shift (5x8, 6:45a-2:45p) or Evening shift (5x8, 2:45p-11:15p) with multiple possible start times.
• Weekend shifts required as needed.
• On-call required on an as-needed basis.
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed.
• Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR system.
• Scrubs are provided by the facility.
• Responsibilities include scrubbing and assisting in a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources/cords, and Hana Table preferred.
• Local candidates accepted only if within 100 miles of the facility; all other candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius.
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as a perm (staff or per diem) employee.
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
