Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position. The role requires 1+ years of OR experience and the ability to scrub for several surgical specialties in a fast-paced Endoscopy unit.

Day shift is 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday with Mondays off, plus call requirements. Scrubs are provided and lodging/benefits are included for travel assignments.

Qualifications

Must be able to scrub.
Active RN license (TN or Compact) required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in a fast-paced OR setting.
Scrub for multiple surgical specialties including ortho, ENT, plastics, general, robotics and urology.
Support a 6-bed Endoscopy-oriented unit with 1:1 patient ratio.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1+ years of OR experience and the ability to scrub for a variety of surgical specialties.

Details

Fast-paced OR setting within the Endoscopy unit
6 beds with a 1:1 patient ratio
Cases include ortho, ENT, plastics (minor), general, robotics, and urology
Day shift, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday with Mondays off
Call required: one night call shift (7 PM-6:30 AM) and every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday night call, 3 PM-7 AM)
No floating required
EMR: Cerner

Requirements

Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
1+ years of recent OR experience required
Must be able to scrub
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Scrubs provided
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
RTO requests must be less than 1 week and included with submittal
Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
