Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Kentucky. The role requires a KY or Compact RN license, current BLS/ACLS, at least two years of OR and EPIC EMR experience, and acute care background. 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours weekly, with call obligations and mentoring duties.

The RN will participate in patient care planning, education, and quality improvement initiatives while utilizing the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum two years of OR (Operating Room) experience required
• Minimum two years of EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum two years of acute care RN experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Responsibilities

• Surgical Services department at a hospital setting
• 12-hour day shifts from 06:30-19:00, three days per week
• 36 hours per week on a 13-week assignment
• Call requirements include 36 hours of evening/overnight call per 6 weeks and every 6th weekend
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient plans of care
• Supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members
• Provides mentoring and precepting to staff
• Facilitates patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning
• Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts
• Applies the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care in patient care delivery
• Non-billable orientation applies
