Job summary

Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring flexibility across multiple surgical service lines and weekend/call availability.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Circulates and supports multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgery
• 13-week assignment with a 06:30-15:00 shift
• On-call participation required as scheduled

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA only) required
• ACLS certification (AHA only) required
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Computer proficiency with patient care documentation systems required

• Assesses patient needs through history, observation, and diagnostic data analysis
• Preps operating room and positions patients for procedures
• Completes Safe Surgery checklist verification
• Serves as communication liaison between surgical team and patient families
• Delegates and supervises team members while performing urgent interventions as needed
